Background and Alternate Names

Human adhesion G protein-coupled receptor E2 (ADGRE2) is a 7-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR). ADGRE2 is a class B GPCR. ADGRE2 is mainly expressed on myeloid cells and binding to its ligand chondroitin sulfate B promotes cell attachment. High expression of ADGRE2 in acute myeloid leukemia is associated with poor patient outcomes. Human ADGRE2 protein has >95% sequence homology with mouse ADGRE2.

Alternate Names: Cluster of differentiation 312, CD312, VBU, EMR2, EGF-like module-containing mucin-like hormone receptor-like 2, EMR2
