Background and Alternate Names
Human P2Y purinoceptor 13 (P2RY13), is a 7-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR). It is a Class A GPCR. P2RY13 is highly expressed in the spleen and brain. P2RY13 binds adenosine diphosphate (ADP) as a ligand. P2RY13 has been found to be a possible prognostic marker for kidney renal clear cell carcinoma and lung adenocarcinoma. Human P2RY13 protein has >80% sequence homology with mouse P2RY13.
